    Which Club...

... Is the biggest waste of space in the Premiership these days?

    Who offers nothing towards entertainment?

    No fight and no ambition?

Who would you most like to see relegated next season?
(Wondering whether to offer nEverton amnesty on this one)???

IMHO, the one club that just "Hangs around" is Aston Villa. Closely followed by Newcastle. The only difference with the barcodes is that they do have some small ambition and sign big names. They also get offered the Inter-toto cup place on a regular basis.

Well Charlton were, Villa, Fulham, Pompey, Boro, Man City, the Prem would be better off without these teams. i.e cut the league down to the better teams and have a Prem 2 for such teams like these and the top Championship teams to battle it out to get into the Prem 1
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

What about Blackburn? Rubbish football, no ambition and small crowds.

I think this was true before O'Neill took over but I think with a good Summer for them they'll be a threat next season. Up front they are going to be pretty strong and Agbonlahor (sp?) is a real talent.

As for the original post, I think Boro, Fulham and Wigan are all clubs lacking in direction. Man City have at least potential in terms of the support, even though the club is a mess.

Fair enough assessments I suppose but A tad disrespectful to the other fans, Fulham in my books have done an amazing job for a small club, they have tried to sign exciting players in the past and have done really well to establish themselves. Again Wigan have done well to stay in the toughest football lg in the World, Boro perhaps are just plain old ****.

I think a lot of fans are spoilt in terms of expectation, smaller clubs mostly find it very hard to play the kind of football a Liverpool Fan expects.

With the noteworthy exception of Reading Obviously

To be fair Wigan played good football the season they came up. It will be interesting to see how Reading do next season. Although they started with a strong squad depth-wise so I expect them to do better than other recently promoted

I think in general people on this thread have been very disrespectful. If a fan of one of these clubs came on and complained about the style of football we play considering the moeny we have then how would they get treated?

On the other hand I think the ownership of Man City and Fulham deserve severe criticism for neither running financially sound teams and having now basically gutted their squads. They are both in severe danger of relegation if you ask me. When Al Fayed thought Fulham were his ticket to a passport he backed them properly but in the last few years they have been allowed to drift with players being sold without equivalent replacements coming in (examples: Malbranque and Boa Morte).

Games v Fulham & Boro hold no attraction for me.
The ultimate team doing nothing used to be Wimbledon. God I hated going the match against them.

Reading will miss Sidewell Badly very badly next season. Although Coppell seems like a real jem of a Manager.

They played sensational football at times this year

I would make the case for Chelsea. Considering the ammount of money they have spent and who they have bought they play the most stiffling football I have ever seen. If in doubt knock it up to Drogba, terrible terrible football. I would rather watch any other team play than Chelsea, they are that bad.

Ocassionally they open up a little and play some good stuff but usually they are just like Everton on Crack

                            Yep, it's Boro.

It's probably the bleakest, most depressing place of all the areas represented in the Premiership, and there are often thousands of empty seats in their shít new ground. They're seldom in serious relegation trouble, and they NEVER threaten the higher echelons of the league. How dull must it be being a Boro fan? Granted, they don't do badly in the Cups but league-wise it must be very grim. They've also had some horribly uninspiring managers, notably McClaren and Bryan 'I'm an alcoholic' Robson.

Mind you, in the late 80s, they were minutes away from going out of business, so the older fans amongst their support might well be milking this Prem lark for all it's worth. They should be very grateful to Steve Gibson, and I think most are.

The only thing about Boro that doesn't shade it for me is that they have at least had the decency to bow out of the premier league for a few seasons where as Villa have just Stuck around. Albeit in 2nd place for the first Prem season, it was downhill after that.

Bit unfair to call Wigan, as teams like this are a breath of fresh air, just like Reading are now. Problem is, they quickly lose their best players after the first season.

Blackburn fans could also claim they have won the Prem league once more than us!

As you say, it could be taken as disrespect, but really none was intended.
