Ice Ham Utd bid for Parker

    Skysports

Sky Sports News understands West Ham have tabled an £8.5million bid for Newcastle captain Scott Parker.

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is believed to be willing to let Parker move on as he looks to raise money for his own transfer plans.

West Ham chief Alan Curbishley is keen to sign Parker as he is a big fan of the England international from their time together at Charlton.

Parker, who is currently recovering from a hernia operation, endured a difficult season at Newcastle last term after coming in for some criticism from his own fans.

    etc...........

Big sam says he can go, he'll replace him with Barton

i like parker, think hes a potentially great player, already a very good one. Will be a very good buy for some team...mind you with the new manager and potential investment id rather stay at the barcodes. (unless 1 of the top 4 or spurs were interested)

parker is a decent player and has done ok at the barcodes. replacing him with barton will be a mistake by fat sam though, nolan on the other hand would be a more astute buy for them.

they have agreed a fee for him. stupid sam trying to replace him with barton. good deal for west ham, he's better than reo cooker anyway.

barton is not a holding midfielder like parker, who is sam going to line up for that role...

I think the two of them are very different players. Maybe Sam fancies Butt for the holding role and feels that Parker doesn't offer enough going forward?

I wonder is a Parker - Reo-Coker swap is on the cards if Arsenal don't go back in for the latter. Similar to Barton - better passer, less good shot on him but more dynamic than Parker and I can see big Sam liking that about him.

it's weird i know a few of my barcodes mates are fuming about this, letting one of their best players and captain go for a thug like barton...

I would love us to sign Parker. He would be a good backup to anyone of our central midfielders. He can play in Mascherano, Alonso and Gerrards position without any problem.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Sell Sissoko and sign Parker. We would make a profit and get a better player.

i'd rather keep momo to be honest. dont care if he cant pass. he's still a monster

plus if we did sell momo.. we should use him as bait to get eto'o. or at least use the money to fund a mve for a striker.

Silver - why do you always call West Ham "Ice Ham"?

From which country comes the man who own West Ham?

                            The answer...Iceland.

Parker was not been performing for Newcastle last season, a lot of their fans actually don't rate him that highly and are quite ambivalent about him leaving.

If they replace him with that thug Barton though I'll piss myself laughing. Kevin Nolan would be a much better shout.....
