    A Chipmunk for free

Yes, that little enigma that is Saviola is leaving Barca at the end of the season and his services can be obtained for free, **** all, nowt, zilch.

Now. I've seen across a number of sites, the majority of fans creaming their kecks and a rabid "gorra get im".

But, for the past 4 seasons, his scoring record has been ****e. He hasn't mustered more than 9 goals in each of those seasons.

So. What is the fixation with him and in reality, is he any better than what Bellamy offers?

I agree with you. He's a better player than Bellamy, but for the Prem not significantly so IMO. Not the type of player we need tbh.

      He's better than Voronin.

Lively, creative, erratic little footballer, I would take him.

Yes but unfortunately (or my a miracle of God 'fortunately') we've already got Voronin. So, we don't really want two non goal scoring forwards do we.....

You two seen much of Voronin then? I've barely seen him play but I can't believe he's as bad as people are making out.

Saviola has his qualities, but I don't think he'd shine quite so brightly in the Prem, and I don't think he has the right combination of qualities to give us what we're missing in our front line.

I think Voronin is far more suited to the prem than Saviola is and he is a better scorer even if he has less technique.

Players on a Free is never that. Inevitably the money that would have been paid on a Transfer Fee, end up being spent on Extra Player Wages and Agent Fees

That's the non-goal scoring Voronin that got into double figures this season?

but only in the German league they scream....

Yes, yes - but surely you can let it slide, given the wonderful title of this thread?

I've always liked Saviola. Think he'd be great up front for us, say with Eto'o for example.

He has a good scoring record when he plays for Barca when Eto'o was out he was banging in the goals for them.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
