Jamie Carragher has been dealt an amazing double snub ahead of tonight’s crucial Euro qualifier in Estonia.
Manchester United reserve Wes Brown and Newcastle’s Kieron Dyer are preferred by under-fire England coach Steve McClaren.

Brown, who was a peripheral figure in Manchester United’s title campaign, starting less than half their games, is favourite to force his way into the starting line-up.

But even Dyer, who has hardly ever played in defence, is ahead of Carragher in the queue.

Look I can see why he's not in at RB, he is a cb and that is his best postion. Ok he can play at RB but wont offer much in terms of an attacking threat. I can see that Mclaren is desparate for goals tonight and knows playing Dyer at RB (I suppose like Alves) will increase the attacking options on the right and inject a lot of pace.

But as for Carra not being at CB, it's pure madness.

Its easy for us to play favourites with our lads, but seriously Mclaren, Dyer, Brown or Jamie Carra, that is what I'd call a Jessica Simpson - a no brainer.

Good ol' reliable Wesley came on against Brazil and his first act was to fall on his arse, Dyer hasn't played enough games this season and probably isn't the best option here. SSN even have Ledley King in CB ahead of Carra. I can't see us winning any major tournament under Mclaren with him making decisions like this
