    Real swoop for Robben

    Madrid move for Chelsea's Robben

Real Madrid are in talks with Chelsea to sign winger Arjen Robben, according to the Spanish club's president.

"We are in discussions with Chelsea and the player, they are at an early stage, but we hope to sign him," Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said.

"Bringing Robben was one of my pledges when I was running for president and still remains the case."

Robben, 23, was reported to be close to signing a new deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2012.

he'll suit spain the diving ****.

this may mean, if he goes, that chelski will be after malouda. that will surely piss rafa off if he goes to chelsea.

That could be the reason they're going for Malouda and why Drogba has been spouting about it in the press.

Capello (or any Madrid coach) never sign players. It's not in his hands. It's a circus there.

Why does there seem to be movement going on at all the top clubs, except ours, yet again.

True but you would have thought if he wins la liga this season he would have a say on who the club signs

Surely the speculation is identical between ourselves and Chelsea. Who have they signed? Pizarro. We have Lucas and Voronin.

I like to read this kind of thing from Real.
It is exactly the type of interfering that Rafa hates.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

and Lucas is big singing. More or less all the top clubs wanted him and he was voted as the best player in the Brazilian league. United have made three big signings and will probably make one more, that's four.

We will probably make at least the same number of "big" signings this summer.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                            Chelsea anger over Real claims
By Graeme Bailey - Created on 7 Jun 2007

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon says they intend to report Real Madrid to Fifa over what they deem as an illegal approach for Arjen Robben.

Real supremo Ramon Calderon revealed on Thursday that he believed talks had taken place with Robben with a view to him moving to El Stantiago Bernabeu.

However, Chelsea have reacted angrily to Calderon's claims and insist that there are no official talks talking place with Real over Robben.

"We note that Mr Calderon confirms Real Madrid spoke to Arjen," said Kenyon.

"As a result Chelsea will be writing to Fifa to ask them to investigate an illegal approach by Real Madrid.

"There have been no meetings or conversations between the Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic with any Chelsea officials, anyone mandated to act on Chelsea's behalf or owner Roman Abramovich about Arjen's future."
