What did he do exactly? They won 1 Spanish title and 1 CL. I'm not disagreeing that he was a fantastic player, but Real Madrid have been massive under achievers over the last 10 years looking at the money they've spent.

Kaka is one of the best in the world but like Henry seems to go missing in big games, Masch had him in his pocket in Athens.

You should base a player's contribution to the team on his impact with the fans, when Zidane retired Madrid fans wanted them to "retire" his No.5 Shirt, that's was his real worth.

The Brazilian has often been paired with the Merengues over the past year and Los Blancos are allegedly ready to dig deep in order to convince the Milanese to sell their most prized asset.

Friday’s edition of Tuttosport claims that Real directors Franco Baldini and Predrag Mijatovic travelled to Italy this week to start talks.

They allegedly met with the player’s father and agent Gaetano Paolillo, as the South American is currently on holiday with his wife, to discuss a possible move.

Both Real officials confirmed that President Ramon Calderon is ready to invest over £50m to net the 25-year-old and fulfil the promise made to fans during his election campaign last year.

As part of the deal, Kaka – who recently admitted that he was honoured to be a Real target – would allegedly earn a massive £7m a season.

However, convincing the European champions to sell the former Sao Paulo ace is going to be more problematic.

Although the club have acknowledged Real’s interest in the attacking midfielder, they have again confirmed that he is not for sale – at any price!
Worth every penny. Just as Zidane was.

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

53 million is good value for the best player in the world. considering man poo have spent almost that on owen hargreaves and two youths.

kaka will not leave milan though, unless ac want him sold..which i doubt as there no other player that could replace him.

What? I'm not disputing that he was loved and was a great player.

              My point is

Would you rather spend £40 odd million on a player that helps you win multiple titles, cups, champions leagues etc etc

or £40 million on a player that is brilliant and the fans love but helps you win next to nothing?

I know which one I'd choose.

Are you basing that on Athens alone? Otherwise I cannot see how you can make that claim.

Awesome player - if any club could somehow attract him, you just have to try and figure out the transfer fee.

                        No I watched it all.

In my opinion he goes missing in big games. Just as Henry does.

What do you mean by big games? Two european cup semi finals which he bossed against the scum. He was terrifying two years ago against us and all but sowed the final up for Milan in the first half. This year he was well shackled but still managed to look like the major piece of class on the pitch, got fouled for the first and set up their second.

I think people are beginning to get false ideas in their heads, no?

                                Let's get this right.

Kaka' is a very good player and in today's market, of course it would take a world record fee to prise him away from Milan.

But for £50 million, I want a footballer who, when at his best, is unplayable. That isn't the case with Kaka'. His style is such that he can be played out of the game, as we saw in Athens. It's quite simple. Give him space and supply and he is highly effective. Close him down and cut him off and he isn't.

If I was Ancelotti, I would take this as a perfect opportunity to rebuild my squad and replace all those aging legs.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.
