Kaka' is a very good player and in today's market, of course it would take a world record fee to prise him away from Milan.

But for £50 million, I want a footballer who, when at his best, is unplayable. That isn't the case with Kaka'. His style is such that he can be played out of the game, as we saw in Athens. It's quite simple. Give him space and supply and he is highly effective. Close him down and cut him off and he isn't.

If I was Ancelotti, I would take this as a perfect opportunity to rebuild my squad and replace all those aging legs.
That needs to be done, and will cost a lot of money.

The aging legs that beat us a few weeks ago?

I'm convinced that Science Lab of theirs is giving them some kind of fair (or unfair) advantage, I've never seen a team so good yet collectively so old.

I agree. I would make an educated guess that those old Milan fcukers are on a combination of EPO and HGH.

As for Kaka, people need to remember that in today's football world a player's marketing value is part of their transfer fee it's not just down to footballing ability.

          Good point.

Kaka at his best he is unstoppable and he's shown that on many, many occasions despite being only 25. just look at the man u game.

he's easily worth 50 mil and if real get him he will change their team completely. you say he was shackled in the CL final, yet as Red08 mentioned he got fouled for the free kick and set up the second goal, is that not enough?..... as it won them the game.

the point you made could be used against any player whether that be ronaldo, ronnie, henry yet all are fantastic players and are all unplayable on their day.

have you watched him this season he was unplayable at times. surely he is not going to run the game when he is being man marked but he won the free kick and set up the 2nd. he always pulls ac milan through what about that goal against celtic when they needed it. i think most people would agree that kaka is one of the players that actually does turn it on consistently in the big games.

I am aware of that and didn't allude to the contrary, did I?

I don't agree, I thought he failed to live up to his own standards in both finals, he is a great player as I have stated, however if he was that great he would still run the game whilst being man marked as Ronaldinho and others have proven on many occasions. I don't think Kaka is worth £53 million.

Exactly what I was getting at but you put it across so much better.

Kaka' is too predictable to be considered unplayable plus he lets his head drop when things aren't going well.

Our new boy Lucas called it exactly right:

Rafa Benitez is the best coach in the world today but I would like to suggest a little thing - not only to mark Kaka, to put someone to keep an eye on him, but to bear in mind that if Kaka does not have the space to be creative, he starts getting nervous. I wish I could be on the pitch to look after Kaka in that game!
Don't get me wrong, he is a fantastic player - probably the best in the world right now and he is worth a huge fee due to his marketability. But I would rather have £50 million to work with.

I don't think Kaka is as good as Zidane was, the guy was a footballing god, **** at headbutts but great at everything else. As for the fee, it's crazy money as with Zidanes fee, also Figo went for a huge amount, i don't think you will ever recover that type of money no matter how many shirts you sell with his name on his back. 53mil plus 35mil wages, 88mil on one player, great if you've got that money to burn.

That quote from Lucas is very interesting - where is it from? Do you have a link to the whole piece?
