A WELSH rugby fan was found dead on the motorway after leaving a match at half-time because Wales were losing badly.

Bryn Davies, 53, was “fed up” watching Wales being beaten by the New Zealand All Blacks at Cardiff’s Millennium stadium last year. He had tried to walk home to Cardigan, more than 100 miles away in Ceredigion, along the M4 during the night.

He left a message on his daughter’s phone saying,“I am soaked and freezing. I will walk all the way from Cardiff to Cardigan – I will probably die on the way.”

An inquest yesterday heard Mr Davies left at half-time during the game which kicked off late in the evening, and failed to meet his friends afterwards.
