You don't like Capello because, despite being very successful, his brand of football is negative.
How would you describe our football under Rafa?
Another MASSIVE game

I am a Rafa fan and he can be negative at times away from home and over analyse, but is very attack minded at home.He like Capello likes to have an organised unit but Rafa is more open.Valencia played lovely football at times and we do too with our best 11 out.Give Rafa half the players Capello has managed(except the old ones)Originally posted by Rigadon View PostYou don't like Capello because, despite being very successful, his brand of football is negative.

and he would be unstopable.

mmmm, think someone has blinkers on here.
For me Capello simply cannot be criticised, like him or not his record is simply amazing, I also found myself thinking about "What if".......I love Rafa and he has 13 years on Capello so Im willing to stick with him and I reckon he will be a huge success with us..even more than already I mean, but should the worst ever happen I for one am glad that there are other amazing managers out there.

Barca fought in house and crumbled,Seville are more interested in the cups and some achievement with a squad worth about 3or4hundred million. He hardly took over Recreativo now did he.Personally I just hate the guy. Some say winning is everything, but entertainment is also part of that and he does'nt inspire that.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postwith all the side show distraction directors that capello has had to endure all season, it really is some achievement.Oh the man is a midfield maestro

What garbage, he's a brilliant manager with a proven track record.Originally posted by PostmanPat View PostNever. He is a horrible coach.Negative and cynical.Real did'nt win playing his way.If they listened to him they would'nt have won.Barca blew it and Madrid just went for it when the chance arose.Cant stand the guy
Barca may well have blew it but you have to give great credit to Madrid for the character and resilience they have shown, particularly these last few months."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

17 games 1 loss 1 draw 15 wins, i beg to differ...Originally posted by PostmanPat View PostNever. He is a horrible coach.Negative and cynical.Real did'nt win playing his way.If they listened to him they would'nt have won.Barca blew it and Madrid just went for it when the chance arose.Cant stand the guy
he's a cracking manager, and only a few could have managed what he did this season..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

A lot of reports from Spain suggest he hasn't been the force he was and that the recovery came after senior members of the team had more input in selection etc. If true and the Beckham incident would lend the rumours credence then it is understandable that he is going to be made to leave and I wouldn't want him. If it is merely press speculation and bull**** them he would be a great candidate for us if Rafa ever left.Originally posted by EST_1892 View PostSo La Liga is finally done and dusted, Capello takes RM to champions status yet some of the board above him may be saying this is not enough for all the money they spend. They want CL glory as well.
I personally think his job is safe, but if the Rafa to Madrid rumours intensify any further, the question I pose is.....
What about a straight swap of manager? Would/Could that happen?
I'd obviously like to stick with Rafa and his long term plan, but if the worst was to happen (which for the record, I don't think it will), how would he rate as a replacement?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
