Capello is one of the best managers around. A swoop wouldn't do us any harm, but I still like Rafa more and I hope he continues as Liverpool manager.

capello is a great manager and has proven it over and over

he is a great stabiliser, it's a major reason why i'd want him if rafa were to leave. he's done it twice at madrid, starting the revival in the 90's and coming again to deal with all the galatico backlash and still finding success

he's won with roma, during an era in italian football when some serious money was being spent by all the big clubs and hte league was very strong

add to those achievements his record with milan and juve.... i dont understand how someone could think he's not a great manager

If Rafa was to leave then Capello is the one I would want.

I don't think there is a manager in work today who has a better record than Capello. Incredible record.

Seems that most here would be happy with him if the unthinkable should happen, But Capello has only managed (apart from Roma) the biggest of big clubs in Europe.

What if he was here and didn't have the Galacticos players and financial backing he has been so accustomed to?

Is he a good man manager (he P*ssed off Beckham,Totti & Ronaldo... possibly more). Can he do it if money WAS an object to sign the best in the business???

If it is merely press speculation and bull**** them he would be a great candidate for us if Rafa ever left.
At the start of the season he played Diarra and Emerson in the centre and they lacked creativity and Emerson especially was booed and got it so bad that he did'nt want to play at home. The fans got the white hankies out and the Senior players took it into there own hands.Fitness was'nt the reason they won alot of games late,it was because the negative blockers he has were subbed and Guti,Higuain and co were brought on.Even on Sunday he was forced to bring on Guti,Reyes and Higuain and that won the game. They bribed there way to the league with Juve,Roma he built a team capable of winning one league and a team we beat well in the cl and he left cos he knew that was as far as they could go and he took over from the great Sacchi and could'nt really go wrong. He is capable of winning a domestic league by playing the worst kind of football alright though.I am sticking by that:bird:

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has declared Chelsea as the strongest team in Europe this season.
Despite Manchester United's triumph in the Premiership and AC Milan's Champions League success, Capello declared: "The strongest team currently in Europe - for personality, quality and mentality, is Chelsea."

On his championship-winning season with Real Madrid, Capello added: "Since I arrived I've felt like a salmon ... constantly swimming up stream."

So he supports the worst kind of football in England.

or he's angling for the Chelsea job?

Any stick to beat him with, eh?

Apart from getting his teams to play effective football, without going gung-ho like the prima donnas at Barcelona and, previously, Real Madrid, what has Capello done to upset you so much?

It all sounds very like Liverpool in the seventies and early eighties to me.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
