IMO he'll be looking for 120/wk and a 5m signing on fee.

I expect to see him at Milan or Real Madrid.
Well you could be right, but Rafa could offer him a 3 year contrat for 120 k per week.
Still not bad for a striker in this day and age.

I'm not sure I subscribe to the idea that we have to be in for him as he is cheap. The aim surely is to get a set of players in who advance us towards winning the Premiership. If Saviola doesn't add the qualities we want then he will take wages and signing on fee out of the money we have to buy players who do.

Having said that he clearly adds invention and an eye for goal to the team. I would question from what I have seen whether or not he would stand up to the physical aspects of the PL.

Yeah...but the point is, he's better than anyone we've got AND has no fee.

          Win-win.

And, when it comes to transfer fee, he's one player even Parry couldnt make a loss on

I don't subscribe to the "lightweight" theory. Argies are generally tough dirty ****ers and any lightweight player who can stand up to international football playing for one of the best international teams knows how to look after himself.
Take Zola for example, he was a little fella but thrived in the premiership.

When you leave your job, you normally so expecting a salary increase. Footballers are no different, especially proven goalscoring strikers on a free.

                90k + 33% = 120k

33% covers salary amortisation and the facth there is no fee involved.

Look at Beckham's exceptional wages for an extreme example of a high-demand player in similar circumstance.

would you prefer to keep bells instead of getting him?

I dunno which bit to disagree with first...

Footballers' 'jobs' are totally different. He's a proven goalscorer who hasnt really played much football.

And Beckham's a worldwide superstar showbiz figure, joining a league desperate to establish itself, and will sell absolute millions in merchandising.

Completely bonkers post IMO, with all due respect.

I did use 'extreme'. I knew all that when i posted.

Fact is players with players on a bosman expect 20% more than they would normally otherwise an agent simply wouldn't be doing his job.

I think 70k is equally bonkers.
