Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari believes Manchester United signing Anderson can be one of the world's best players "inside the next two years".

Scolari said of his fellow Brazilian: "We'll go there ... Anderson, who played for Porto and now has joined a good English club, he is one that probably inside the next two years will be one of the biggest names in Europe.

"He'll achieve that if he continues the progression that he had with Porto."

Some possible reasons:
We need someone to improve the team now, not to grow into the side.
Rafa has a different opinion to Scolari.
Man United have had the deal tied up for a long time and we have only recently had investment leading to large scale backroom changes.

They paid way over the odds for the pair - The details released included addons for appearances only - more add ons come into force if Utd win while they play - circa £5-7m each.
