I can't bare to see this happen........

A great player play out his days in the Turkish league

Serie A - Fenerbahce make offer for Ronaldo
    Eurosport - Wed, 20 Jun 16:11:00 2007
Serie A - Turkish champions Fenerbahce are close to the signing of Brazilian striker Ronaldo, chairman Aziz Yildirim has revealed.

The Istanbul giants signed full back Roberto Carlos on a two-year deal on Tuesday, and according to Yildirim, he could soon be joined by his compatriot Ronaldo, for whom Fenerbahce have submitted an offer of around nine million euros to Milan.

"A transfer will soon come that will put that of Roberto Carlos in the shade. Ronaldo is a world star and would fit in very well with us. It's no secret any more that we are close to [signing] him." Yildirim told Eurosport.

Fener have won the Turkish Super League in three of the last four seasons, though have struggled to make any impact on the European stage. With the signing of Roberto Carlos and possibly Ronaldo, they are hoping to finally progress ion the Champions League.

"The national title is no longer enough for us," Yildirim added. "We want to make waves at last in the Champions League, and we'll only do that by signing superstars."

Should Milan succeed in tempting Andriy Shevchenko back to the San Siro, they could well allow Ronaldo to move on, despite only having signed him from Real Madrid in January.

Fenerbahce are ready to offer Ronaldo a wage of 4 million euros per year, and the striker could also be tempted by the chance to link up not only with Roberto Carlos, but also fellow Brazilians Alex de Souza, Edu Dracena, Marco Aurelio and Deivid de Souza, and his coach would be none other than Brazilian legend Zico.

    Its sad but it happens

players now go for their last big payday where the money is

you only have to look at Beckham selling his soul to American Soccer

its just history repeating itself............... I can remember when soccer first started in the states, they had Pele, Bechenbauer & Best all increasing the value of their pension fund

Would we like Rohnaldo at Liverpool?............. Maybe..............would we pay him £3million a year...............Nahh

    Fenebache can have him
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Was listening to Talksport on Tuesday and Kazim-Richards (he has just left Sheff Utd for Fenerbahce) was on there and he said that Ronaldo is joining Fenerbahce from what he's heard.

Ronaldo, an all-time great, to play up front with Colin ****ing Kazim-Richards - the lethal ex-Brighton marksman who scored ONE GOAL in the Premiership last season for relegated Sheff United.

          Dear oh dear.

Apparently Ronaldo has trimmed down a hell of a lot - he's lost TWELVE Kilos

That's about 24lbs, if memory serves....I'd have him at LFC in a second, if that's the case...

              Huh?

I thought he'd moved to AC Milan last season and had put in a pretty decent shift for them.

I think the reason the Brazilian's are signing for Fenerbahce is because Zico is their coach

According to Wiki he scored either 7 goals in 12 apps. or 10 goals in 13 apps. find the former more likely but both stats are very good. I think he´ll stay at Milan and he´ll have a very good season next year.
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

He was once lethal, but too many pies have cost him. He has lost that blistering pace and he is way too injury prone, whether he can cut the mustard in a top league i am unsure off.

At least with Fenerbache there is the compensation of Roberto Carlos and Champions League football (did they qualify?) Better then Qatar or the USA!
                    We come not to play.

Can he play for Real Madrid, AC Milan AND Fenerbache in one calendar year?

So what's the explanation for Zico signing Colin Kazim-Richards?

                          Because he's Turkish?

He is young, nippy, fairly creative and part turkish. He's not a bad player IMO with good potential. It's not as if the Turkish league is all that good.

Worth noting that Trabzonspor dropped 10 places when they lost former Cambridge United forward Omer Riza this season.

Pointless fact: Kazim was supposed to be his middle name but someone ****ed up the admin.

                              A calender year is July 1st - June 30th.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
