Chelsea will reportedly spend £18million this week on Brazilian youngster Alexandre Pato.
According to the News of the World, the virtually unknown teenager will become Jose Mourinho's first cash signing of the summer after the free-transfer deals for Steve Sidwell, Claudio Pizarro and Tal Ben Haim.
The 17-year-old Internacional attacker has been linked with a moves to AC Milan and Benfica, but Chelsea have secured the deal before he attracts more interest at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Canada, which starts at the end of the month.
Pato's agent Gilmat Veloz revealed: "The deal is almost done because the two clubs have discussed the matter in the last few days."
Pato - who could cost up to £18million after add-ons - admitted: "My dream is to play in the Europe, but I want to wait to go at the best time."
