    Before the transfer deluge

Which of the teams that need to overhaul their squads in the PL do you think will do best, I would count: Man City, Newcastle, Fulham, Wigan, Aston Villa, Bolton and West Ham in the category.

Each team faces differenct challenges but I think all of them need to change large numbers of players to reach their respective goals.

I suspect that Newcastle will do well, the best of the teams listed above but the supporters expect miracles. While Wigan and Fulham have low expectations they have woeful squads and relatively poor managers so I think they will both struggle.

I think West Hams spending will leave them with large expectations and a less than glittering squad. So I'm going for Bolton being the only eam to exceed expectation - even if they actually do worse than last season - I think Sammy Lee will do okay when everyone thinks the team will fall apart.

I think Newcastle will be the surprise package next season. Fat Sam is a good manager and from what I've read, he's very methodical in his approach and even favors a sports science department to increase player's fitness.

Add to that the fact that he's apparently been given a decent transfer kitty.

      Manchester City.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think Fulham and Wigan are the odd one“s out there and will be fighting relegation early on. Newcastle, West Ham, Man City and Villa are fighting with Everton and Tottenham for the top 8 spots IMO. Newcastle will probably finish around 6th with Tottenham in 4 or 5 depending on Arsenal.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Got to be Newcastle as realisticaly its their defence that needs the work and it wouldnt be difficult to improve what they have there. Midfield and attacking they arent too bad.

Not convinced over Man City at the mo, they have lost one of their main defenders in Distin and Barton as well they were two key men (even if Baron was a disruption). Its also been a while since Sven (if he becomes manager)has been involved with a team which isnt going for a league title, so not too sure yet, clearly a lot will depend on how much the manager there whoever it is gets to spend.
