    Fat Frank

    This is gold dust

    Taken from Sundays Guardian

Frank Lampard 'knows he has no chance of moving' to any of the big European clubs and so will almost definitely stay at Chelsea, according to an executive at Barcelona. 'There is no other option. He has been offered to us, Milan, Inter and Real Madrid. Basically all of the big clubs. But none are interested. We are the same as those clubs are, we're looking for a player who is more creative and has a greater technique than Lampard. So it looks like he will go nowhere.'

The England midfielder has been trying to negotiate a new contract for the past year, with the stumbling block believed to be his contract demands. He wants parity with Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack, the top earners at Chelsea, who are thought to earn £130,000 a week. The 29-year-old has been offered £110,000, around £20,000 more than his current deal, which has two years remaining.

        I LOVE THAT ARTICLE!!!!!

****in dip****. I hope that after that they retract the 110K/week and drop it to 50. He's an overrated **** of the highest order and deserves to get nothing.

Other than that, I quite like him.

He has done a lot more for Chelsea to deserve enormous wages than either Sheva or Ballack though. I can see where he is coming from assuming he is willing to live with the fact that he might have to 'make do' on his current enormous deal if playing hard ball fails.

It would be interesting if he had somewhere else to go. It will also be intriguing to see if he stays whether this affects his chances of playing. Clearly playing one of Ballack or Lampard would benefit the balance of Chelsea's three in the middle.

Lampard and Terry are the backbone of Chelsea and I can totally see why he would want parity with Ballack and Shev.

How would you feel if a workmate of yours earned 20% more than you even though you did more and were more of an asset to your company. I'm sure you'd be over the moon.

I don't see the problem with wanting to earn as much as you possibly can.

Chavs should let him rot in the reserves. That'll learn him... Or alternatively, accept a straight swap deal with West Ham for Benayoun - it's not like they need the money - and putting him in the same price bracket, how funny would that be?

He should be on the top wages they pay, because he's very important to their team, he wouldn't pickup the wages anywhere else tho, and i hope he does leave, cos that'll cost them about 10/15 goals from midfield a season
