    Geremi to Barcodes

Big Sam is recruiting a nice little set up there.

    Geremi
    Barton
    Viduka
    Owen?

Not fantastic but something to build on.

Taylor & Geremi I guess that is nearly half a defence, things are indeed looking up for the Barcodes.

Rozenthal is meant to be a good player too.

Add Duff, Martins and Milner and it's a decent team. Allardyce will work wonders with Emre and Luque to. Then theres Dyer. Good squad.
      Forwards.......

Never seen him so I will reserve judgement. I think that Big Sams biggest problem will be that although there are a lot of talented players in the squad very few of them have a winning mentality and he will have to knit a team together quickly.

The team psychologist will have his work cut out.

I think Dyer will do well under Sam though - I think he will get his injury problems sorted and he will shine.

Duff looked past it last season - seemed to have lost the determination to be a top player. If he Sam brings him back they will be a good side but there are a lot of wingers in the squad who all have much to prove and only two places to fight for.

Yeah seems to getting a good squad together there does Sam.

Geremi would be a great bosmon transfer, provide versatility, experience and a bit of quality to boot, always thought he was a decent player.

Ever since they got rid of Sir Bob i went off Newcastle big time, not a fan of fat freddy and the way there fans go on is rather pathetic ie signing of Michael Owen, super signing but you'd have thought they just won the Premiership.
In saying that i might have a wee soft spot for them this season as a good mate of mine in a Newcastle fan and he was really egging us on in the Champions League final. Fair play to him.

Fat Sam or not, they'll achieve mid table mediocrity this season.

They've got one injury prone striker, one who can't be arsed playing properly until his contract is due for renewal and one about to be sold.

Their new midfielder will spend most of the season suspended.

Geremi's going to have his work cut out.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

I´d wager a top 8 finish, but league will be considerably harder next season though
