    Ebbe Sand from Schalke FC.

in shanghai you meet a lot of people from a lot of different places and i have been lucky enough to meet the brother of Ebbe Sand the famous striker from Schalke FC. This name may not mean much to football fans, but he is incredible. When Alan (the brother of Ebbe) told me he was coming out to shanghai for a visit i said we should definately get together for a kick-around. So today i played in a 7vs7 game with my team against this former professional and a few of the other dad's that live and work in shanghai. He was ****ing insane. This guy won the danish player of the year twice and was the top scorer in the german bundesliga in 2001. I was lucky and got a picture of me with him and ill post it up when i get it from my friends camera.

unfortunately i play central defense most of the time and he made me look like a muppet on numerous occasions

Didn`t Alan play for Stabæk in Norway earlier? Or was that someone else?

He was also **** hot on Football Manager circa 2001.

Good story man, would love to do something like that (but wouldn't fancy being the only line of defence facing him!).

I remember looking at that Sand guy a few times in the past. Was always a prolific striker wherever he was if my memory serves me correct.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Peter Sand, Ebbe's twin brother, played for Stabaek in Norway, but Ebbe was far more famous, playing seven seasons for Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga and winning 66 caps for Denmark.
