      Always thought he a dose of the David O' Learys about him - always went on as though he had achieved so much when in fact he had won / done f#ck all

            Used to wear them at work. Was told in no uncertain terms to stop wearing them as it was disturbing the ladies.

                Disclaimer: everything posted below is an alleged situation. No accusations or aspertions are being cast on anyones name in any way shape or form (FAO legal types, does this cover me?? ).

                Right, back in the early 2000's whilst at Derby there was an alleged takeover in the pipeline. The people who were looking to take over the club enlisted the current managers help in lowering the price of shares to make the takeover more cost effective.
                The way this was done was to have all the players who had appearance bonuses sitting on the bench for about 89 minutes of the game. These players were then subbed on for the final seconds, which meant their bonuses were triggered. The fallout from this meant that the club, which at the time wasnt in a particularly good financial state, took even more of an uneccesary monetary hit for absolute minimum value.
                This in turn meant the clubs financial value dropped, helping out the guys who were intending to buy the club.
                Needless to say "incentives" for these alleged actions were given, allegedly.

                Not sure what the fallout was after all of this was supopsed to have taken place, but form what I recall, he wasn't in the job much longer after it.
