"let me tell of a poor team
Who were sent far away from their home
To play in the sticks, out at Knowsley
Where only the cattle do roam"
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

What the Bitters are saying on Kipper
I'll bet if you put Goodison in a nighttime illustration like that it'd look
just as good too - put the new ground in a daytime pic and see how it looks
then, bet it won't impress people as much as they think then
To say nothing of the car park around it, bet we won't get an illustration
of it with Tesco in the background either
you have extremely low standards. It looks like a cheap generic supermarket
in a retail park which it is. Stick a few spotlights on it and some of you
think it's good enough for Everton.
they are ****ing **** aren't they.
been looking at them since 7 am this morning and i just can't see the wow
factor for EVERTON.
If the finished article looks like that I will be severly disappointed. It
is just a bowl arena with the corners cut out. The upper levels just
continue on from the top of the lower. Where are the upright stands? The
claustrophobic atmosphere producers? If you are going to build a bowl, then
build one. Whats the point of cutting the corners out? It only reduces
capacity. No matter how many neon logos you put on it, it is still a cheap,
plastic stadium, probably not as impressive as the Reebok. The artist's
impressions of that were always set in the dark too.
Swap 100 years of history and tradition for that? To gain UP TO £10million
per season? In 2010 we will be lucky if that will buy one extra player.
Goodison was always our twelfth man.
That thing wouldn't even make the subs bench.
some lady in work (of no football persuation) just seen the new stadium
photo and said :
'just looks like any other stadium to me' - thats your average person's view
then.
like i said no WOW FACTOR.

It looks alright to me; in fact I quite like it. It's certainly not the "stadium in a box" of the original New Anfield / City of Manchester design.
There's a comment there about Gollum dubbing them "the people's club of Liverpool" and how can that be right when they're moving outside the city to Knowsley...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Surely that's a fake?Originally posted by SteveRollins View PostJust seen this posted on newsnow http://www.nsno.co.uk/news.php?item.2679.1. The blue****e are going to be gutted if this is what their new stadium looks like.
It says, the images show what it would look like mid-week, on a Wednesday night, perhaps during the Champions League. If that was the case, the stadium wouldn't have anyone in it, yet the pictures clearly show people there.
