    Ljungberg signs for West Ham

West Ham have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg, BBC Sport understands.

The Hammers will unveil the 30-year-old Sweden international at a press conference at 1400 BST.

Ljungberg, who was also a target for Fiorentina, joined the Gunners in a £3m deal from Halmstads in 1998 and scored 72 goals in 325 games for the club.

He had two years left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger decided to sell him.

Ljungberg, who was Arsenal's longest serving player, struggled with injury last season and played just 26 games.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Odd one - it'll be interesting to hear for how much.

Ljungberg has been pretty crap for over 2 years as well.

Probably bought cos that Faubert is crocked long term.

Why is it when we sign a £20 odd million £ striker our press conference is watered down to a 20 second clip on Sky Sports News, yet West Ham sign an ageing, injury prone Y front model and they get their PC live?
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

Freddie is a ****. I've just listened to him on skysports news there saying that the reasons why he is now at West Ham are because Arsenal haven't signed enough big name players and the leaving of Henry to Barca recently.
Bull****, the reason why he's at West Ham is because the Arse no longer wanted him, they were desperate to get rid.

HAHA, naw but i hate it when players taking a step down go and attack there former employers and turn the tables saying it was there own decision etc when really the truth of the matter is the player was no longer wanted ie freddie at Arsenal.
Never liked him anyway, diving, moaning wee ******.

His excuse was a load of ****, he was not a first choice player for Arsenal anymore and money talks so he'll take it easy at Ice Ham for the next couple of years while reintroducing himself more and more to the Party lifestyle in London.
