100,000 odd though.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

It is rather dissapointing atmosphere wise, more of a family affair over there - is that a bad thing?Originally posted by bazza76 View PostI was at a Villareal game a couple of seasons back, it ended 3-3
Barca got presented with La Liga trophy, cool place to go for a match. The Stadium is quite a sight, although the atmosphere leaves alot to be desired considering the size of the crowd, in what was a full house at Camp Nou.
It's indeed a tremendous sight and the football is always top-drawer. Hope to pop over there before the end of the year, definitely this season.
The team they have at the moment is outstanding.

I got a big sense of community while I was there, it certainly is a peoples club, old men smoking cigars with their sons, daughters and grandkids etc.
Could do with a roof though, as we got pissed on at the match for about 30 mins.
IF Rijkaard can get the balance, hunger and morale of that team right, they should be one of the best club sides in European history.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
