150k a year isnt really loads of money these days, if people work hard and do the right things most people have the potential to earn 100k

In light of the masses of money in top flight football I honestly don't begrudge the players getting a good slice of what the help to maintain. Therefore if a club makes enough money to afford a £120k a week payment then the players should get it, rather that than people like Freddie Shepard.

That said i object to things like Diouf taking legal aid for his assault charge and non proportianality in law, a £60 speeding fine won't deter a footballer from speeding where as if instead they all had their nuts cut off that might.

On a completely different note, I read in the paper the other day that the lad who just moved from QPR to Fulham (whose name escapes me) gave QPR a gift of £250,000 to help them survive. Magnificent gesture, especially given that the guy is probably on a pretty low wage compared to the players listed above.
