I don't begrudge the fella making a living i do however fell that 120k per week is a grossly exaggerated amount of money for what is in essence 90 minutes work a week.

While £120k per week IS indeed absurd, it's determined by the level of demand attached to the product that players supply and the extent to which the customers will pay lots for it.

And whilst it's easier than loads of 'normal' jobs, it amounts to a lot more than 90 minutes work a week. Apart from the obvious 'work' like training, promotional stuff and what-not, they also 'work' with regards to losing the ability to have a private life and do 'normal' things.

The level of reward far outweighs the sacrifices, sure. But there's more to it than just 90 mins of football a week.
