I agree completely with what RK is saying as far as it goes, although his argument does fall down a bit in that he seems to assume players would want to join Sunderland for footballing reasons as opposed to other clubs bar the top 4. It's early days yet for such an assuption imo.

I think he's talking about Leighton Baines and David Nugent when they didn't want to move to Sunderland. I'm not surprised with his rant- he's bitter that he can't attract players.

I think Keane is spot on. Most of these WAGS are just leeches with no career of their own. If they're living off a footballer's salary they should abide by any decision made for professional reasons and if they dont like it, off you go love, there'll be plenty of others waiting to take your place.

As for living in Sunderland, well I wouldn't wish that on anybody but Newcastle is a fantastic city only a short limo ride away. Plenty of shops there and anyway, havent these daft bints heard of Amazon??

And as for Sunderland as a club, I think they have a bright future. They've now got an honest chairman who cares about the club and a good young manager who has the funds to build a squad capable of cementing themselves in the Premiership. They've got the stadium and fanbase as well so it may be that in the next couple of years that more decent players end up there and as someone with a soft spot for Sunderland, I'd be delighted to see it.

My boss is a massive Birmignham City fan and was at the game on wednesday and she said that apart from the ref who was a disgrace, Scumdeland (did you see what I did there?) were just a bunch of thugs who kicked and cheated there way to a draw. I am going to reserve my judgement on him until I see more of what type of game he asks his players to play. I still think he's a c u n t though
