EXCLUSIVE City boss plans £5m Real raid TRANSFER WINDOW COUNTDOWN 012 UNTIL IT CLOSES

Sven Goran Eriksson is ready take his summer spending at Manchester City through the £40million barrier with a £5m move for Real Madrid's Guti.
The 30-year-old can play in central midfield or attack and Eriksson is confident of adding him to his rejuvenated squad this week.
Arsenal failed in a bid to land Guti two years ago when they tabled an £11m offer. But the arrival of Bernd Schuster at the Bernabeu has led to increasing speculation that Guti will be sold to finance other impending deals.

A host of Spanish rivals have been linked with Guti but Eriksson, who has been alerted to the player's availability, believes he can see off the competition.
Guti was one of the main reasons David Beckham struggled to command a regular place in the Madrid side last season.
And while Eriksson primarily sees him as an out-and-out central midfielder, he is well aware that Guti is more than capable of playing as a third striker sitting just behind the front two. Eriksson is also hoping to land Paraguay hotshot Nelson Cuevas. The 27-year-old striker is available on a season-long loan arrangement from Mexican side Club America for £1m.
Cuevas has already attracted interest from West Ham and Newcastle, but big-spending City are expected to clinch his signature.

Nicolas Anelka has put plans to quit Bolton on hold after rejecting moves to both West Ham and Portsmouth.
The French striker has been linked to a host of clubs, but has always maintained he will move only to a side who are playing in the Champions League.
Portsmouth, West Ham, Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle were all ready to take advantage of the £9m get-out clause in Anelka's Bolton contract.
But unless one of the big four makes a late move for him he is resigned to staying at Bolton until the January transfer window at least.

Sunderland are on the verge of completing an ambitious £10.8m swoop for Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The 23-year-old left-sided centre-half is an Italian international and Sunderland boss Roy Keane believes he would be the signing of the summer.
Chiellini is contracted to the Italian club until 2011, but Sunderland are ready to shell out a record sum in order to secure his services.

Leicester are poised to sign Marco Ferreira from Benfica on a seasonlong loan deal.
Ferreira, 28, is desperate to leave Portugal after being frozen out of the Benfica side by manager Fernando Santos.
The Portuguese midfielder could make his move permanent with Leicester insisting on an option to purchase him for £680,000 at the end of the season.
