i know i have harped on about this before but... (and this is generalising)
i've worked in rugby schools and there is a difference between the rugby and soccer types. rugby players tend to be up for each other (
), team workers, suspicious of primadonnas, being able to take a rap on the knuckles etc.. etc... there is a culture of whining, complaining, individualism, petulanceand blaming others in football. in rugby i love the way players run to their teammates after scoring instead of arrogantly shrugging of the lustfilled embrace (
) of the guys who made the chance for you and draw all the attention to yourself.
so changes if they are possible need to start from the ground up. there's loads of things that are too general about this but the basic point i think most people will agree on... i have to say that i like seeing dissent punished but it seems to be very on the spot and petulant from referees alot of the time. why aren't refs confident enough to say to the likes of all chelsea's players "i'm telling you once to back off and then you're carded" or whatever.Felching ≠ Gerbilling
