    Alves mindboggling offer

Spanish club Sevilla rejected a £21.5m offer from Chelsea last week and are thought to want £27m for the full-back.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has said he would be willing to join Real if a move to Stamford Bridge collapsed.

£27mill for this decent RB player.....ok I changed it!!!

    Numpty? i dont think so

Crazy money yes, but he is superb. He can play right-back, right wing back or right wing and would do a fantastic job in any of those positions.

Dani Alves has been discussed 2 million times on here anyway. Super player. End of

20+ million for a RIGHT BACK is madness. Absolute madness.

27 million dont think chavs will go that far for a right back, he's worth about half that imo.

Whats gutting is that had Parry and Moores pulled their fingers out last season he would be playing for us and he could have been signed for much cheaper too.
          We come not to play.

prety much what they are doing to the Chavs, but HAD Parry and co sorted it would have been cheaper then that
                We come not to play.

Rafa wanted to play him right back, and the board were not prepared to sanction 15 million for a right back.
In hindsight, it's easy to say that it would have been a fair price, but with our financial position at the time, the market at the time and the fact that Sevilla were screwing us and raising the price every chance they could get, it's harsh to blame Moores and Parry for this one.

We don't even know if we would have got him for £15m. Sevilla would probably upped the price even more.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Exactly. We could get 27,000,000 cans of Stella.

The transfer market has gone bananas. You bring in richer owners and the price goes up to cancel everything out.

At least we get a new stadium out of it. Alves is good, but not that good.
They should bite the chavs arm off at that price.

its a difficult one isnt it (in my eyes anyway) because whilst a silly amount of money it is a position that would help us be a better team, potentially win us more trophies, therefore increasing income, certainly aiding in shirt sales and of course there is re sale options as well.....in my mind id offer up to 25 mill for him safe in the knowledge that we have increased our teams vast potential and have purchased someone who would recoup most of that in various atreas anyway.

I'm a big fan of Alves and even I don't think he is worth £27m.

You could probably sign Lahm and Van der Vaart for that kind of money.
