    Everton sign yakubu for £11.75million

    Everton have reportedly agreed a club record fee of £11.75m for Middlesbrough striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu.

    Boro confirmed on their website they have given the 24-year-old Nigerian permission to begin talks with the Goodison Park club.

        and Boro will now sign Afonso Alves to replace Yakubu.

        Two very good deals by Boro and one bad by Everton.
        Just believe and you never know what will happen.

        According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                I am delighted they have signed him. I havent hardly spoken about it because I didnt want to tempt fate and the deal fell through.

                            i'm not so sure about afonso in the premier league, he's slow and i don't know if he's up for the physical side of it...
