Pennant deserves his chance. On current form he's as good if not better than Dyer and SWP.

Difficult one really. Thing is Pennant seems to get overawed easily, and he doesn't offer the same goal threat as other English RMs. That said, fair point really that if Dyer is getting a chance, Pennant should be too.

Those "Club Wembley" seats are an absolute waste of space. Half empty at every match. It's sad that real fans miss out on a seat because someone else has booked them for 10 years without any intention of going regularly.

Steve McLaren must surely be in a bad position. This England side, despite having some real quality players, has absolutely nothing. They're a terrible team and he's a terrible manager.

I would laugh so much if England fail to qualify.

Just came back from watching the Norway - Argentina match.
First time in years I have watched Norway, as I think they are ****e.
Free tickets to watch Argentina wasn't too bad.

Mascher played the full game, as did Riise.
Mascher was nothing special. Argies played naive and slow. They only picked it up in the end of first half and second half when they figured out the obvious - that you must attack on the flanks...


Sorry to state the obvious here, but Riise made a **** out of himself at the end of the game when he conceded a foul and started mouthing off at the ref. Then he continued his heated exchange of words with the Argie Manager, then he started mouthing off at Mascher. Oh, yeah, and it was a clear freekick he conceded anyway.

Norway played some ok football at times, but the usual aimless hit and hope hoofing up in the general direction of Carew got me bored. Honourable mention to Riises little brother who actually had a decent game in midfield for Norway.

Riise was one of the first of our players to come and applaud the fans after we lost in Athens, and I'll never forget it. You can claim he does it solely for the money if you like, but he cares about this club, and has done next to **** all to deserve being called a ****. Call him ****, say he should be sold, say you'd rather have Traore instead, fine. But a ****? Why's that then? Bit of perspective, eh? This obsessive hatred is just silly.

Riise has the heart in the right place but he acts like a kid sometimes.

He need to grow up.

Stupid thing is, people will now think I reckon he's the best LB ever and I wouldn't want us to sign anyone in his position. It's nothing like that, I'd be the same for any of our players. Just a bit of respect where it's due really.
