It seems that Barca want Alves and need to sell to fund the deal, and Ronnie is been sold so it was said on SSN by Graham Hunter

Seems to be more to it. They havent given him or he hasnt sign a contract in a year, and they were planning on offering him a contract but has yet to come a year on........

Terry will be happy if the clause exists that says that he will earn as much as the highest paid player at the club.

He will be on the phone 24/7 trying to convince Roman to sign him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Santos should win this one, Cleber has been very good according to reports in the last games. He is linked with a move to Monaco so you never know 100% if he will play even that it's reported that he will do that.
I have an America RN shirt.

Isn't Fat Frank linked with Barcelona? Could be a swap deal on its hands and in that case, Barca will be big time ripped off

so ronaldinho wants to leave barcelona because of taxes

after a full preseason with barca, after the season has already started, ronaldinho wants to leave

nevermind that he's settled in barcelona, loves the culture, loves the city, loves the club....he wants to move to a soulless club packed with mercenaries who treat him like **** everytime they play each other, just so he can pay an english taxman a similiar amount to what he would pay in spain

this is just a desperate ploy from chelsea to save face after another lame summer in the transfer market. couldn't even get alves with their plundered oil money, whats the world coming to

swap deal for one of ronaldinho's socks maybe

that would be fat franks agent trying to get him a better deal at chavski. i'm not sure if it was barca's club president, but one prominent club president said that lampshades agent was touting him around to all the big clubs, but that fatty wasn't good enough

                              NOU CAMP TO BLUE CAMP
                              Chelsea's D-day talks for £50M Ronaldinho
By Martin Lipton Chief Football Writer 28/08/2007

Chelsea will head to Monaco on Thursday hoping to return having lured Ronaldinho from Barcelona for a world record transfer fee.

Roman Abramovich is so determined to land the Brazil striker (pictured yesterday) he will table a bid of £50million for the jewel in the crown of world football.

The west Londoners are able to offer a staggering £150,000-a-week wage and will aim to complete the deal before the transfer window closes at midnight on Friday.

Chelsea's billionaire owner had two meetings with Ronaldinho's brother and business manager, Roberto de Assis Moreira, in London over the weekend to put the case for moving from the Nou Camp to Stamford Bridge.

And Blues chief executive Peter Kenyon, who will spend all day in the same room as Barcelona president Joan Laporta when he attends a UEFA meeting in Monaco ahead of the Champions League group stage draw on Thursday, is ready to make a formal approach.

While Chelsea were making no public comment, it is understood the initial approach came from the Ronaldinho camp - and that Abramovich was more than ready to welcome his visitor.

Chelsea are aware of the possibility they are being used by Ronaldinho and his brother in an attempt to force Barcelona to offer a huge contract extension. The current deal runs out in 2010.

De Assis Moreira has been wined and dined by AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi in recent months, to little apparent benefit for the European champions. But the belief at the Bridge is it is a risk worth running if Ronaldinho could turn out to be serious about a move to England.

Last night, Barcelona sporting director Txiki Beguiristain offered a less than total rebuttal of the possibility of Ronaldinho heading for the Premiership by the weekend.

Quizzed over the meetings between Abramovich and the player's advisor, Beguiristain replied: "This is a subject that does not interest me."

He added: "We don't want to sell him. Ronaldinho is our player and I'm totally convinced he will remain at the club.

"It's normal that any of the big clubs in the world wants Ronaldinho, but he has signed a deal with us. In this aspect the decision of Barcelona is clear."

But Chelsea have not been put off by Barcelona's initial response and are ready to take things to the next stage when Kenyon and Co pitch up in Monaco on Thursday.

According to the Spanish correspondent on the Guardian unlimited podcast this story was originally reported on page 7 of AS because basically Ronaldinhos brother touts him around Europe all the time, basically trying to get a bigger wage.

Ronaldinho doesn't look to me like he would like the PL. I've seen nothing to say he would adapt any better than say Baptista (although he is obviously worlds better as a player) and the Shevchenko experience shows that attitude has as big a part to play as ability in whether you are a success.
