    Yakubu to Everton

Work permit granted and signed for £11M

They have overpaid a bit perhaps but I think he will do well for them. I have the bluenoses down for a top 6 finish now. Johnson and Yakubu up front will guarantee them goals.

He will score goals but I'm not sure he and Moyes are made for each other. Yakubu is one lazy ******* and Moyes won't stand for any of that.

The rows between Yakubu and The Bald Diver over who takes penalties should be funny.

I think this is a good signing for Everton. Yakubu is proven to be a great Premiership goalscorer I'm afraid

I'll give him 6 good months and he'll be gone to someone like Newcastle in 2 years time.
He left Pompey because he thought he was too good for them, now he's left Boro because he thought he was too good for them. I don't like players like him, lazy and big headed. I'm pretty glad he's gone to the bitters.

Like it's been mentioned; he's a lazy swine but knows where the back of the net is.

That's their whole budget gone then. They really needed a decent midfield player this window. If Arteta gets injured, they'll be the most 1 dimentinoal team in the league.

"I am happy to be here," said Yakubu. "It is a great feeling to come over and meet a lot of good players and see the spirit that they have.I have always said that I want to play for a club that plays in Europe, and I think they have the ambition to move forward and they want to finish in the first four and the Champions League and Uefa Cup and for me that is my dream.

"I know there is a long way to go and I want to be part of that - to be successful and to have that dream. [Everton] is a massive club and it is a great feeling. There are great players and you want to play for a big club."

i can't help but snigger my way through that whole quote.
"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

I rate him as a goalscorer, but he is now officially a bluenose ****.

Off subject slightly but I think baldly Johnson is one of my most hated footballers in the Premier League. 'AJ'.....God I hate him!

He isn't any better than Heskey or Davies(Bolton).

Adriano is available for £10m and he at least has the ability to be a top class player.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                        Bad signing for them.

Makes you wonder, they couldn't buy Nugent for £5m in June yet they can buy Yakubu for £11m now?

In Moyes' defence - and trust me I hate doing this - I think he refused to go a penny higher than £4m for Nugent, rather than them not having the money. If that's true, you can hardly blame him.

That said, I hate Moyes and he can **** off.

Anichebe is better than Yakubu IMO. If they give him a chance week in week out then he will deliver.

Yeah fair play to him. Watched Harry's interview on Skysports website last night and he knows he's bought a complete waster in Nugent. No attempt to hide it or anything: "If he wants to go I'll let him".
