Rooney will stay at Chesterfield for four months
Chesterfield have signed Stoke City striker Adam Rooney on a four month loan deal.
The 19-year-old Irish forward signed for the Potters in the summer of 2005 but has struggled to force his way into the first team this season.
Coach Mark O'Connor told Stoke's website: "Adam went on loan to Yeovil last season, unfortunately it didn't turn out to be the best experience.
"Now Chesterfield have come in for him and we feel it will be a good move."
