I think it's grim and a bit depressing. You wonder how much longer clubs like Stanley will be sustainable. I feel especially sorry for lower league clubs in the north-west - there's such competition. If you're not a Red, you could be a Manc, Citeh, Everton, Bolton, Wigan or Blackburn at the top level.

The likes of Accrington, Chester, Rochdale, Stockport...even Wrexham and Tranmere....what chance have they got?

Dunno what prices STs are but it's £15 for an adult ticket at Accrington. That seems way too much but what can they do?

It is a big problem for lower league clubs - they have to charge a lot as they don't get the numbers but by charging a lot they put off people going. A bit checken and egg really.

I think all of the lower league clubs, particularly in areas with a lot of big clubs nearby, will have to change how they operate in the next few years. They need secondary income streams to suppliment match day ticket sales but a lot of the locations and facilities make that difficult to do.

There will just be an ever increasing divide between the top clubs and everyone else, as they cant possibly cope financially they will have to go back to being working people who play at a decent standard at weekends, only the pros will be any good in effect and if anything this will probably open the way for the lower divisions to be top teams reserves/youth teams.
I havent really thought about the consequences of this but as usual there are pros and cons springing to mind.
                Shame though.

You'd think a few more of the bigger teams could get involved. It would have its benefits i.e you could send a load of ressies out on loan and get them game time in a competitive environment (like Rafa wanted when he came out with that stuff about wanting the reserves to play in the League) and in return slip them a few quid every year.

But if no one wants to go and watch Accrington anyway then theres not much you can do.

I'd say teams like Macclesfield would struggle but the inbreads keep it going.
