    Lehmann - fool!

Jens Lehmann has told Manuel Almunia he does not yet deserve to be first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal.

Lehmann started the season between the posts for The Gunners but made a couple of costly goalkeeping blunders.

Almunia has come in and looked assured, with Arsene Wenger claiming that Lehmann was not available due to an Achilles problem.

However, the German was fit to play for his country in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Wales, and will now be in contention for Arsenal's next game against Tottenham.

"I am without a doubt mentally the strongest player at Arsenal because I have more experience," Lehmann claimed in The People.

    Not worried by young supermen

"There will always be a keeper who will play better for two or three matches but I have never seen anyone do this for ten games.

"I know that I have an advantage at Arsenal and that I can keep it. I don't see any young supermen keeping me out."

Wenger has told Lehmann that he cannot expect to just walk back into the side, but the 37-year-old is confident it will only be a matter of time before he reclaims his place.

He said: "I know I will be playing again at Arsenal. The coach will let me play.

"He knows it, and I know it - it doesn't matter if I have another week out.

"I have read that Almunia said he deserves to be the No 1 but until now he has not won a single important game."

Fact is mate, you dropped two clangers at the start of the season, and whilst Almunia isn't a fantastic keeper, he's a steady deputy. He mentions that Almunia hasn't won an important game - surely the two or three league wins that he's played in are important.

Lehmann - the guy comes across a right prick in every interview I've read or seen :whatever::whatever:

Lehmann is one of the biggest tossers in the league.

A gob as big as the Rheine and an ego to match.

Very entertaining in his own special way though.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

I love the fact that a guy as ugly as him seems to have this uber confident nature.

Poor Didi, Markus, and Karl-Heinz won't be happy to hear that

Lehmann's been a bit of **** again then, no surprise. Hope Almunia takes his place permanently

Beg to differ but I hope Lehmann reclaims his place. At least there is a high probability of him fooking up and the Arse dropping pts.

Great way to support your team-mate.
How long do you think a LF player would last if he said something like that?

thing is I can sort of see his point, Lehman does have that ability to drop a clanger or 2 get dropped but always end up being first choice. Almunia is average at best.

But Lehman is still a ****.

He does have a point, but it`s the way he does it.
He strikes me as the type of guy that would rather have his team lose with him in goal, than win with Almunia playing.
To his defense he`s been playing in Germany most of his career, where it`s a much tougher tone between team-mates
