A man will appear in court today charged in connection with an alleged attack on Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Manchester United manager was allegedly attacked by a man at Euston station at about 4.30pm on Monday after travelling by train to London.
British Transport Police were called to the scene.
A BTP spokesman confirmed that one of the alleged victims was Sir Alex and said he received injuries to his leg.
The Manchester United manager is not believed to have been badly hurt and attended a function in the capital as planned.
A 40-year-old man will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court, central London, this morning, charged with one count of ABH, one count of assault and one public order offence.
