No list can be complete without the likes of Vladimir Smicer and Phil Babb!

So 183 games, 19 goals, one in the CL final and still one of the 50 worst transfers?

Smicer was good, just not as good as he could/should have been.

There should be more Scum goalies on that list. At least a couple of dozen.

It's harsh to put Morientes on that list. The worst transfers ever should involve players who were shockingly bad and overpriced, maybe include the odd scandal or two, and leave club and fans enraged.

Morientes seemed to work hard, but it just didn't work out. It happens. If he had joined us as a younger player, then maybe it would have been different.

1 goal in 10 for an attacker is piss poor. If that means I have high standards then so be it. The guy was a joke.

Asprilla shouldn't be on the list but Babb and Paul Stewart should be. They were both expensive for their day and they were pure dog turd.
