Admittedly, I have only seen the Germany away game and the Wales game at home, but he is not the solution. How he ever got the job in the first place is still beyond me.

Quinncy, George Bush could do a better job with that team.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostNobody better wants the job and it`s not his fault our team can`t play football.
Why can't they get Aldridge in for the last few games of the qualifiers and if he does well then give him the job to get us to the world cupContrary to popular belief, I have huge genitals.

This guy is the problem. This man got us a world class manager

But you can't blame Staunton for being there. If any of us were offered the job we'd take it.
The problem is who to bring in. Aldo was mentioned, he could be a possibility.
Dunno who else really.Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Well I'd see Dunne as a leader. Dunno why he's not captain, but there ya go.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostAnd in two yrs we`ll be talking about who`ll replace Aldo. The problem is on the pitch, there are no leaders and no match winners.

Match winners, Duff when fit is the sort of guy who can turn a game. Doyle can do it. Hunt should play every game, coz the mayhem he causes for defenders is excellent.
Keane has been a joke of late. I heard that he's not scored an away competitive goal since Holland in 2000 or 2001. That can't be right, can it?

Hunt should play every game,Robbie should never play again but using Staunton as a scapegoat is not the answer.Originally posted by johnp View PostWell I'd see Dunne as a leader. Dunno why he's not captain, but there ya go.

Why not?Originally posted by Quinncy View PostHunt should play every game,Robbie should never play again but using Staunton as a scapegoat is not the answer.
He's the one who picks the wrong team, wrong tactics & has no idea how to change a game when it's going wrong. Rarely if ever is he honest when talking about our performance and he has an "I'm right and all of you are wrong" attitude that has pissed off pretty much everyone at this stage
I completely agree it is Delaney's fault as it was his appointment to begin with after promising us a world renowned international manager (not someone who had never even managed a Sunday pub team in his life) but he has done himself no favours since he's been in the position.
I think when he got the job, no-one else wanted it and it didn't appear as though we had anyone really coming through. However since then the likes of Doyle, Hunt, Long, McShane etc have come through and with a bit of decent coaching we could have the nucleas of a good team - Staunton IMO will never help develop them as players and by displaying some of his team selections will only discourage many of them in the long runAt a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly
