Do the Scots on here dislike the old firm?

I was just having a look on the other thread and it seemed to me that the Scots hate the old firm while the Irish love Celtic?
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

I moved up here from Liverpool when I was 11 and the main thing I noticed was the religious crap that went with the old-firm.

For example up here they have Catholic schools, I didn't go to one so the vast majority of people at my school were Rangers fans and at that time the bigotry stuff wasn't so much frowned upon so all the chants and songs went on even though we lived in a pretty well off area.

Though I'm a neutral and don't care much for Scottish football in general because of all the anti-Celtic stuff I experienced I do prefer to see them doing well as opposed to Rangers, Celtic have always appeared to be a bit more "likeable". Also I think Parkhead is a great stadium, I was in the away section when McManaman scored that amazing UEFA Cup goal and we went bonkers as they ran over to us to celebrate.

Yeah Celtic are probably the friendlier club out of the two. But I can't stand either of them to be honest.

Bigfooty did you have to deal with a lot of the anti English stuff up there when you first moved? I can't see it being easy for a Englishman in Glasgow around the age of 11

The Old firm is dispised by Scots who do NOT support either Celtic or Rangers. That is undeniable.

As said previously, anyone who doesn't directly support the Old Firm ****ing hates them.

Even to the point that when they play in Europe we cheer for the opposition.

                Yep, hate the *******s.

They buy all the best players from their rivals then get all happy when they dominate the league. What the **** do you expect? Idiots

Nice to see rangers getting whooped today

Thier policy is to buy any decent players from their Scottish rivals even if they don't need them.

Yeah Diego, I have a Scottish name but that didn't make any difference

As for the buying policy I prefer to see em buying from Scottish clubs as at least it generates revenue for those clubs.

                        Hate them with a passion.

What I hate even more are the UVF and IRA supporters. Scum, absolute scum, they follow the Old Firm and use it as an excuse to have a spoil and as a platform for their backward political beliefs.

You can spot them a mile off, with their tattoo's of 1690 and the hand of ulster or no surrender to the IRA, or on the other side **** the queen, celtic pride: brothers in arms, sinn fein.

Sorry what I should have put is have the best reputation. As they have loads of Irish lads supporting them and a lot of people seem to see Irish as being good lads which cause a bit of mischief but get away with it cause of the accent (which most of them are). As to the complete tossers that seem to follow them.
