I'm glad all the nonsense about Lampard being a peer of Stevie G in terms of ability is finally dying away, and that more of the general football public seem to be realizing that there's a gulf between the two.

He is without doubt one of the most over-rated players ever - a perfect example of media hype.
There is absolutely no way i can ever see McLaren dropping him regardless of performance. He's moved our best midfield player (Gerrard) out of position and left one of our most exciting young talents (Lennon) on the bench to accommodate the fat ****, and that was against Andorra, so what chance it happening when we play a decent side? Zilch IMO.

I wouldnt say he was that greedy as others have, i just think he has a limited range of passing that amounts to 2 different kinds, sideways or Hollywood.
IMO, he clearly thinks he's better than he is, the day Makalele leaves Chelsea will show Lampard up for the player he is.

People are so bitter about Lampard I find it hilarious. Yes, he is over-rated but he is a very, very good player. He is also one of the few England players concerned with keeping possession in the middle of the park (I admit he is shat happy when he gets into the final third). He is in the side on merit, Gerrard is given a free-role effectively and that suits him more than being asked to be more disciplined in the middle.
