He's a ****ing good manager, no question. I wouldn't say he was a disgrace to the game, but like you say he did do some extremely ****tish things, way more than Rafa or Wenger IMO and he deserves to be reviled. The funniest thing about this for me is it signals a step up in meddling by the true disgrace at Chelsea, Abramovich. He should've left Maureen to it, but he's got unrealistic expectations and interfered when it came to his comrade Sheva. I'd love Chelsea to drop out of the top 4 now and be replaced by an emerging team. It won't happen of course, they've got a quality squad and will get a top manager in I'm sure. Does pretty much rule them out of the league for this season though in my book.

As for Wenger - well he's worse imo. For years he's cultivated this fair handed, proffesor of the beautiful game image, but allied it with his blinkered vision of his own teams shortcomings. For years they had the worst disciplinary record in the League, but Wenger NEVER saw any incidents. Now, if they get outmuscled [by the likes of Blackburn] he'll slag them off wholesale instead of admitting that his team couldn't win the battle that's always needed to impose your game.

possibly, from what I gather Rijkaard and Laporta dont always see eye to eye and Eto'o/Ronaldhinhio is a lukewarm relationship at best.
Thing is, the Barca board and Fans will not stand for 1-0 boring ground out results, it's just not their style. Also after the recent CL games between the clubs, Maureen hasnt endeared himself to the Barca cboard/fans.

Yeah, Wenger has been a nob over the years as well, but let's just say Maureen has been far more prolific a nob in my eyes

Rubbish. Managers head to Real Madrid at pace even though they know the history of upheaval. If he offers enough dosh they'll try it and then say it was all his fault if they get the sack.
