They can't be serious about this dude, what pedigree has he got?Originally posted by Assassin View PostShamelessly stolen from www.bbc.co.uk
Chelsea are set to name Avram Grant as their new manager replacing former boss Jose Mourinho, BBC Sport understands.
The Israeli, who was the director of football, will now take charge with Steve Clarke as his assistant.
Grant will be named as the new manager at Stamford Bridge later today, BBC Sport's Garry Richardson has revealed.
The 51-year-old, who is a close friend of Roman Abramovich, arrived at Chelsea in the summer and was told by Mourinho not to interfere in team affairs.
Grant, who up until now has held a place on the Chelsea board, arrived at Stamford Bridge after a spell as technical director at Portsmouth.
Previously he guided Israel to the brink of World Cup qualification in 2006 and he has also coached Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Maccabi Haifa. We come not to play.

Ramos won't have any problems being Roman's yes man. He is used to being Del Nidos yes man.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I totally disagree.Originally posted by AFII View PostBad news.
Chelsea will be a bigger threat with another manager. I don't like Maureen but I see the situation from what would be best for us.
The likes of Drogba, Terry, Fat Frank all play for Mourinho. Watch how **** their performances are under another manager.

But I can't see how having a yes man in charge makes them a bigger threat to us? If he is told to play a misfiring and clearly **** Shevchenko for example, that is just fine by me.Originally posted by AFII View PostGrant won't be their manager more than a week or two IMO before Ramos signs for them.

Love him or hate him, Maureen did a fine job at Chelsea and was a top manager for them. No matter who they get in now I cannot see how his leaving could be anything other than good for us.

So you think that they have played great football. They have a fantastic squad and Maureen has got very little out of it the last year.Originally posted by red g View Posthow can they be a bigger threat under maureen they have won 2 league titles. Maureen = great manager, orrible ****
So what if Drogba and Lampard may leave. They will just sign other players to replace them. They can afford it you know.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Do you honestly think that just because Chelsea have money to throw around that the loss of two of their best and most influencial players wouldn't harm them? (If they left of course!Originally posted by AFII View PostSo what if Drogba and Lampard may leave. They will just sign other players to replace them. They can afford it you know.
) It takes time to build a team and a squad and to get them to play properly togther. It's not FM2007! You can't just go out and buy players and expect them to suddenly click.
To put it another way, imagine if Gerrard and Carragher left but we had loads of money to replace them. Are you saying you wouldn't be worried about that, despite the cash for rebuilding?
