International ban for Mikoliunas - Diving related-watch out Johnson,Drogba & Ronaldo

About ime UEFA have done something sensible

I look forward to these fooking divers Johnson,Drogba and Ronaldo been suspended for a few games

Saulius Mikoliunas has been suspended for Lithuania's next two Euro 2008 qualifying games after Uefa found him guilty of diving against Scotland.
The Hearts midfielder tricked referee Damir Skomina into awarding a penalty in Lithuania's 3-1 defeat at Hampden.

Uefa's control and disciplinary body confirmed Mikoliunas will miss matches against France on 17 October and Ukraine on 17 November.

A misconduct charge was submitted after a review using video evidence.

When asked after the game if he was worried he may be criticised in Scotland over the incident, Mikoliunas said: "I don't care. I play for Hearts not other clubs.

"If Hearts fans want me to apologise I will, but not to Scotland fans."

Mikoliunas has yet to feature for Hearts since the incident, having picked up a hamstring injury on international duty.

When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

    Hi,

    Glass houses, throwing stones etc.

It's a blight on the game, and should be stamped out.

Nah the only reason he got banned was because he went on TV after the match and boasted about his dive. He laughed about it and said it was ok to dive because in the end scotland won anyway.

Thats why he got banned. Not all footballers are stupid enough to go boasting about it in the after match interview
