    Jamie Redknapp to Chelsea??

If this materialsed he'd be plumbing new depths...

    From the Beeb's 'gossip column'....

With Mourinho gone, new boss Avram Grant is keen to bring Jamie Redknapp into his new management team. (Various)

Probably in a pathetic attempt to keep Fat Fwank happy.

An ex-Liverpool club captain? Don't do it Jamie!

To be fair, is the guy not allowed to get a job at anywhere where Liverpool fans do not approve of? He isn't exactly a Liverpool born lad like Carragher/Gerrard/Fowler etc.

If he does want to get a job in football as opposed to punditry, then he is not really going to turn down the chance of joining Chelsea is he?

But I wouldn't hold it against him. I don't really get all the hating on him.

Me neither. I think I said it in another thread yesterday, he may be a rubbish pundit but he is hardly the worst in the world and as a former club captain he deserves a bit more respect IMHO.

Anyway as Shaggy says, stop being so sensible!! You've got me at it now

EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL GONE Israeli is handed mission impossible
                              By Alan Nixon 21/09/2007

Chelsea want Jamie Redknapp to be part of their new-look management team in an astonishing move to give the club more glamour and popularity.

Sky TV pundit Redknapp has been approached about the post of Avram Grant's assistant as Roman Abramovich looks to shake up Stamford Bridge.

Redknapp is considering the amazing chance and should give his answer in the next 48 hours.

And if Redknapp - the former Liverpool and England star - accepts, he will become 'boss' to his cousin Frank Lampard.

Grant is loved by Abramovich but regarded as a 'grey' figure who lacks Mourinho's charm and charisma.

That is where pin-up Redknapp comes in as he is a well-known and respected figure who also has the kind of 'feel' that Abramovich thinks Chelsea have been missing.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
