It's obvious what is wrong there and if Jol is still there at Xmas, if he doesn't sort it he deserves to go.

1. Chimbonda out. He can't defend, he has no clue about positioning.

2. An Experienced and strong centre half MUST be brought in. When King is missing (which he always is) they have no dominant centre half, they only have raw( and not very good) centre halves who can't play with eachother.

3. Zokora - not premiership standard.

4. Huddlestone - not enough experience, should be third choice.

5. Another flair player ala Malbranque is needed to supply more ammo to the strikers.

So, basically the whole spine of their team is weak and the team lacks leadership, experience and organisation which leads to a shipwreck at the back, it's not rocket science.

Sort it out Jol because you're a good manager.

And yes, there ARE plenty of players who he could get in to do the job.

Oh and Robinson could do with some bench time. He is weak at crosses and this season his shot stopping has been fit for the championship.

IMO, they have the best striking foursome in the prem and with players like King, Lennon, Bale and malbranque in behind, they have massive potential BUT players like Chimbonda and Zokora just have to go. Huddlestone and Kaboul must be nurtered too, they are not ready yet.

And one final thing: I don't know why I just wasted all that time and energy rambling on about Spurs.

They need a whole new revamp in their team. He needs to forget the squad idea for the moment. If he can get a really strong 11 with Berbatov, Keane, Lennon, Bale, King, Dawson being the spine, it wouldn't be a bad side. Jol or Commoli need to buy better quality, not buy for the sake of it

Keane and Berbatov are both deceptively quick. Hardly bombers no, but not slow. But if they are playing in a game where hitting teams on the break is needed, they can just draft in Bent and move Lennon further up the pitch etc...

Yeah, stop gap signings like Rocha and stalteri are not worth it. There is a lot of talent available out there for relatively cheap prices.

I wonder if they made an approach to get Henize.

They could do with an experienced centre half like our Sami or someone like that.

They have the makings of a really good side. A lot of this side were close to getting into the Champions League so the qualities there but Jol hasn't been able to put it together.

He needs two good midfielders, one experienced and one young however raring to go at this level. Left back is a must for them- they have had Pyo Young Lee, Stalteri, Chimbonda, Ifil, Kelly and Ziegler. They aren't good full backs never mind left backs. A lot of them are right footed, not a good combination.

Either Bale goes to left back (not as good attackingly IMO) and Keane is wasted on the left meaning Bent or Defoe partner Berbatov or a change in system from 442 to 451/433 system with Bale going left back and Keane being the left winger and Lennon being right winger and Jol to sell Jenas, Zokora and Huddlestone and buying better in January.

Kelly has been fantastic for B'ham this season. Mistake letting him go. In fact, the season they nearly made the CL, I think he was a regular. And I think they had a midfield of carrick and Davids. Goes to show.

Spurs as a club (the management structure) is a joke but they have a good squad of players. Expect them to challenge real soon if they can get their act in order though, ie getting the right manager and the proper management structure which will bring stability to the playing side of things.

It's pointless criticizing other clubs though.

Look after your club, what's the point criticizing another team. Take the mickey out of Everton or Manure or any other direct challenger to us, then fair enough.

Spurs have a good team, but instability (as regards the Juande Ramos affair) have undermined the playing staff, IMO.

As for Chimbonda, he's very good. He may not have played well last night (I haven't seen the match so can't comment on that) but he's normally a very reliable and excellent right back. FACT.
