Russia away is tricky, sometimes you can win games like that, sometimes not. The problem isnt Russia away, it's the fact that we were in this situation in the first place. Losing to Croatia away is no disgrace, but it's the home draw with Macedonia which has fecked england up the arse. That one was beyond any excuse, you just have to win home games against also-rans.

Who said anything about 'cheering them on'? :whatever:Originally posted by Assassin View PostI am well happy it looks like we wont qualify. How any self respecting supporter can stand there and cheer on Chav and Scum players is beyond me.

True mate, we should not have been in this situation at all, winning home games is essential for any team national or otherwise. Macedonia was beyond excuse. I'm not one for knee jerk reactions really, I see enough of em in my line of work, but maybe a change in management should have happened thenOriginally posted by DJS View PostRussia away is tricky, sometimes you can win games like that, sometimes not. From the BBC coverage:
1817: Georgia continue to look dangerous, with both their full-backs charging down the flanks. Scotland look OK defensively though.
then
1817: GOAL Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Brilliant corner from Georgia and towering striker Levan Mchelidze nods it in. Disastrous start for Scotland. This is looking like a bleak day for the home nations.

If you want england to win then you are supporting the likes of individuals such as Lampard, Cole, Cole, Terry, Rooney etc.....Originally posted by DJS View PostWho said anything about 'cheering them on'? :whatever:

McClaren is totally clueless. He got lucky twice with his tactic of chucking on all three subs at the same time in the UEFA Cup quarter-final and semi-final. Put him up against a half decent team (Sevilla were more than that in the UEFA Cup final but Russia are barely that) and a top-class manager and his limitations are woefully exposed.
He got praise for picking Heskey and Barry so now he needs criticism for picking Lescott (out of his depth) and especially Robinson (who flapped at one shot and got lucky when it hit the post and was at fault for the winner).
What a complete tw*t..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
