Juve chief in London for Lampard talks

Juve chief in London for Lampard talks
    tribalfootball.com - October 23, 2007

Juventus sports chief Alessio Secco is in London today for talks over Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, it has been revealed.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Secco is set to meet with the agents of the England international in London to discuss an end-of-season move to Juve.

Secco is confident he can land Lampard for £7 million, but will ask the player to take a cut on his £4 million Blues salary.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We should buy him and make him polish stevie's arse after he has a ****.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lampard Moving Closer To Juve Frank Lampard’s move from Chelsea to Juventus is looking increasingly likely, as the two clubs hold advanced talks about the transfer today.

The England international has been heavily linked with the Serie B champions for some time, and Juventus director of sport, Alessio Secco, met with Chelsea officials earlier in the week.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Secco will again be in London today to hold advanced talks with Chelsea, in a bid to thrash out terms over a transfer.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich has set his stall out to create a more exciting and universally appealing brand of football at Stamford Bridge, and one of the major casualties of this change will be Lampard, who is known more for his substance than for his style.

The 29-year-old is said to be keen to experience a new challenge abroad and would relish the chance to hook up with old boss Claudio Ranieri, the man who was responsible for launching his career when he signed him from West Ham in 2001.

Lampard is available for €10m and is likely to accept a reduction in salary from €6m to 5m a year in order to facilitate the move.

The transfer is unlikely to take place until the summer, but sources in Italy believe that providing Juventus qualify for next year’s Champions League then a move is a virtual guarantee.
