    Does anyone know about Scholes?

    The weird Megson story I just posted made me think of this: how come if Scholes was injured for almost a whole season it never seems to get mentioned?

    Anyone would think it was made up to cover something up and that all the journos know but are keeping schtum about it for some reason or other. Maybe it was a personal issue and is therefore regarded as not appropriate to mention...

    I don't follow Paul Scholes' career very closely so maybe I've misunderstood or it does get mentioned in profiles or interviews but looking at it from here it seems strange.

    Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

    There were a lot of rumours going around at the time that he was going blind or had lost sight in one eye.

    Don't know if there's any truth in that, but it's what I heard.

        Yes I heard that. Yet it never gets mentioned that he's recovered from it. Stubbs's recovery from life-threatening illness wasn't hidden away yet Scholes's problem was and continues to be.

        Momo's eyesight gets the odd mention too.

              It could be a trivial problem also. Scholes simply isn't an interesting character for the media. He's just boring really.

                    pretty sure its true - my mate has a newsagents by their training ground - he said scholes was always buyin wan k mags

                    he stopped buyin them and his sight is ok now
