Phil Neville - We have the best strikers in the Prem

Everton have the best array of striking options of any side in the Premier League.

That is the assessment of skipper Phil Neville following another impressive European victory inspired by the late arrival of substitute Victor Anichebe in Nurnberg.

With Andrew Johnson nearing a return to full fitness, the Blues now have five fully-fit strikers available with Tim Cahill also available to provide additional goalscoring support.

Everton's hitmen have netted 14 goals between them this season, with each player having found the back of the net.

Neville believes it is an array of options that no other club in the top flight can match.

He told evertonTV: "I can't think of a Premiership team that has got as many strikers with real quality as we have got at the moment. We have got two young strikers in Victor and Vaughany, we have AJ, Faddy and Yakubu. That is five quality strikers who have proven themselves as goalscorers in the league. That is going to be a big plus for us with all the games we are playing because they can all produce goals. Victor is enjoying coming off the bench for 20 or 30 minutes when the game has opened up and defenders are a little tired and we can take them by surprise.

"Victor came on at a perfect time (on Thursday) for the team and Victor himself. The game was stretched and finely balanced. We needed a little bit of pace up front because Yak was beginning to tire having worked tirelessly all night. Vic came on and they couldn't cope with him."

Neville now wants to see the Blues maintain their 100 per cent record in Group A to secure progress to the knockout stage as group winners - an outcome that will ensure the Blues will face a side that finishes third in the group stage when the draw for the last 32 is made.

He added: "I think our target now is top spot. They say two wins and a draw is enough - but two wins could already see us through. We have a home game to come so we have a little bit of breathing space so lets get through, then when we go to the Alkmaar game we can be already qualified and we can go there with the fans and have a really good time again."
