    Whatever happened to...

...English managers? Are they all so bad that Steve McClaren was the best choice if the FA were determined to have an Englishman lead England? I can't imagine that anyone in their right mind ever watched McClaren's Boro teams and thought to themselves, "Gee, I wish England could play football like that..."

And, while we're on the topic, whatever happened to English goalkeepers? England haven't had a class 'keeper since Seaman was still in his prime...

Anyway, I hope you England supporters get good and drunk tonight. At least Stevie will have a proper offseason next summer.

He was the most/only successful English manager at the time

What has happened to them? Well I can't think of that many, Sir Alf Ramsey? Cloughie? Don Revie?

      That's about it.
